Role: Print Designer
Duration: 1-Year Touring Activation
Deliverables: Event Graphics, Large-Format Print Design, Visual Interpretation of Brand Guidelines, On-Site Assets, Print Procurement and Management
Challenge
As part of a large-scale brand activation for Vuse and Velo, I was tasked with translating two distinct global brand guidelines into an engaging and cohesive 3D festival experience, with the build designed by the Creative Director. While brand guidelines are typically built for flat, controlled environments, this brief demanded flexible, impactful visuals that could work in real-world build conditions from large-scale panels to temporary structures and textured surfaces.
Solution
Working closely with the Creative Director, I interpreted and adapted each brand's look and feel for physical application.
One brand leaned into rich colour, jewel tones, and abstract textures. I created vibrant visuals using a mix of client assets and carefully curated stock, adding visual depth and atmosphere.
The other had a stripped-back approach with a tight, bold palette of turquoise and yellow. I extended their angular graphic language across all print touchpoints, working in harmony with the build’s diagonal and striped elements.
Impact
The final design suite was met with excellent client feedback and minimal revisions. I added value by taking full ownership of all graphics production including print procurement, supplier management, and sourcing and supervising vinyl installers. I also oversaw on-site application of all printed elements at the first festival build to ensure flawless execution.
This activation toured festivals across Ireland over the course of a year, delivering bold, brand-consistent experiences in every location.
