When you have a logo but it doesn't tell the whole story...
The creators of Coinely had a name, an idea and a logo, but to pitch to clients they needed more. They needed to make it come to life for potential investors and a landing page was a big part of this.
They came to me with their logo and asked it if I could turn it and their ideas into a branded mock-up website to help them tell their story. They felt a bit lost and unsure where to start. I love this kind of work, because I know I can guide someone to what they need.
It's important to know that designers are happy to work with existing logos and brands, or take something small and expand it out into a whole brand. I'm not precious about only working with things I have created - that's not how business works!
As always, phase one was some research and development on what I needed beyond a logo - so an extended colour scheme, an illustration style and some more assets. This included giving costs and licencing options should the brand look to go live. I looked into competitors and similar offerings to develop a flow to the home page that made logical sense for this product.
After this segment of work, I came to 2 options looking at the brand and the two directions this sort of market goes in - solid and technical with striking colour or trendy/future styled with gradients and a soft palette. This is when I meet with my client and ask for their honest unfiltered feedback so we get what they need. I don't have a visual style, I create the right solution for each problem.
Once we made an agreement, my client had a visual mockup for a landing page and some additional assets for their brand, including icons and a secondary colour palette based on the colours of precious metals.
